Minister's Week at
Pilgrim Point Camp
Pilgrim Point loves ministers of all kinds!!
August 9 - 14
Unfortunately clergy camp had to be cancelled but ministers of all kinds are
still very much welcome to our, now empty week, at Pilgrim
Point Camp. Ordained, Licensed, Commissioned, Seminarians, CE director,
Youth Leader, and your significant others, your family, bring them all for
one day or for six. This will be a time to relax, reflect and renew. There
will be no keynoter, just all of us sharing our stories (or not), sharing
our gifts (or not) attending discussions (or not).
Bob
Griggs, interim minister at our churches in Bertha and Wadena will be
sharing his concern for clergy self care after twice experiencing
hospitalization for depression and anxiety. Bob will share his journey into
depression and through depression to a renewed faith.
Dee
Dressler, Managing Director at Pilgrim Point Camp will share inspiring
stories of her 50 year journey to accept finally accept her gender
transition and all the love and support and struggles along the way.
If you
have a story to tell, please don’t keep it to yourself. Contact
Dee
or Bob
with your topic to set up a time for you to share at this new event for
ministers of all kinds of the Minnesota Conference. A schedule of topics
will be published on the Pilgrim Point Web site as soon as we have folks
lined up to lead. If you don’t feel the need to lead a topic, please just
come and enjoy time by the lakeshore at YOUR Pilgrim Point Camp.
Also,
please let Dee (320) 241-1394 know what days you will be here and how many
people you will be bringing with you. The cost for this event is about as
low as we can go to encourage as many ministry folks as possible to take
advantage of this empty week at Pilgrim Point Camp. We’ll be honest, we have
and ulterior motive, we want you to come and experience this beautiful,
healing place so you’ll share it with others back in your setting. And yes,
some of us will talk about how everyone needs to send youth and come to camp
themselves.
Menu of Costs:
Lodging
$15 per night
(housing may vary - but probably the lodge)
Meals
$3.00 for breakfast
$5.00 for lunch
$7.00 for supper
Seminarians? In Care? Half price!!!! There is no reason not
to come and meet your new peers!!!!!

Let us know
sooner if you can : )
