That’s me. This is my third summer here at Pilgrim Point Camp. Before I came here I was in the Indiana-Kentucky Conference of the United Church of Christ doing the same job there that I am doing here. I was in Indiana for 12 years.

This is Sheila’s third summer at PPC. She is a Certified Food Manager and runs the cafeteria at Evansville School District the rest of the year.

This is Troy’s first year and already he has done quite a bit to get camp ready for our guests. He had been a self employed contractor before he came to us at Pilgrim Point

This is Terri’s third summer here at Pilgrim Point Camp. Her family owns a house here on Lake Ida so you'll often see her as she walks to work. During the rest of the year Terri is a school teacher in St. Paul.

Camp Dog since 2007

This will be Ronnie's 6th summer as a camp dog both here and in Indiana. His main job is to cure homesickness and accompany groups to Vespers and to the Point.

2010 Summer Staff

Nick is a student at University of Minnesota Duluth and has been here for three summers and was a long time camper before then. Nick is the person I go to when we need someone to do something. He generally knows where everyone is and whose available. My go-to guy.

This is Noah’s third year lifeguarding for PPC – of course he also does dishes and cleans and cooks too. He will be a senior at Jefferson High School next year.

Anna Larson, 1st Year

Anna is a student at United Theological Seminary. Before that she spent time as a school teacher and a stint in France as a nanny.

Cody Maynus, 1st Year

Cody is a student at St. John in Collegeville. He’s been a supply preacher at his church in Montevidio and nearby Granite Falls. He, and whoever would like to help, will be our camp and staff chaplain.

Sam McCurry, 1st Year

Sam is a student at The University of Minnesota in Duluth. Sam has been to camp for CYEs and is studying to be a teacher of students with special needs.

Rachel Butler, 1st Year

Rachael is from Indiana (she kinda talks like me) where she attends Franklin University. She’s an experienced lifeguard and will be our waterfront supervisor and lead lifeguard.

Desi Silva, 1st year

This is Desi’s first summer lifeguarding at PPC. She lives here in Alexandria and attends First Congregational Church and Jefferson High School.

This is LaVonna's first year and she have graciously stepped in to lifeguard for us with our last two big camps of the summer. She recently returned from a trip to Europe and came Pilgrim Point to fill in for us. Thank You LaVonna!
