Work crew to clear branches along the south side of the

Rec Hall to allow more light into the windows of the Rec Hall

Work crew to clear trail along the south shore

Over the years the ice heaves have created a shelf that runs along the south shore from the

dining room to the campground. The shelf is about 4 - 6 feet above the water. We need a crew that is

experienced with chain saws (with a sensitivity to esthetics) to clear a path from the dining room

eastward towards the campgrounds. This crew also needs to be willing to do the hard work of

hauling all the downed trees and brush back down the trail to be hauled away. Eventually

we'd like to build a set of steps back up the bluff in two places - one at the gazebo and

one near the end of the shelf.

Work crews to insulate and drywall the POEM Cabins,

Lodge, Rec Hall, Poem Lounge and Gazebo

We would also need someone who is experienced in drywalling to supervise the work crews.

Update! --- Paul Johnson has been drywalling for 37 years and has said that he will head up the crew!!

We hope to create three season capability. Right now we accept groups into October and would

like to make heating these facilities more cost effective.

A new floor for the POEM lounge

The old floor has been scraped over too many times by the furniture and seen too many

freeze/thaw cycles that have curled and cracked the linoleum tiles.

Work crews to paint the POEM Cabins,

Lodge, Rec Hall, and Gazebo

After we insulate and drywall, of course.

All of our buildings on the west side of the camp

need a new coat of paint

We need good painters and/or adults who will closely supervise

youth that are willing to learn how to paint

Boat House, Gate House, Annex, Annex Restrooms, Lodge and Well House
